Promoting and Expanding the Lake Simcoe Defenders Program

Our program has been accepted by the Simcoe County District Schoolboard, and we have three days of educational programming planned in Keswick on September 16, 23, & 30

Educational Resources

The RLSC engages and involves youth and families via a free curriculum-linked educational resource for grade 1 – 12 teachers and students, which focuses on local knowledge, ecological literacy, and action. The program includes:

    • A Teacher’s Guide to provide educators with the background information and links to activities and resources

    • A slideshow for students covering topics relevant to the watershed

    • Documents with Ontario Curriculum links for Science, Social Studies, and Geography Grades 1 – 12 requirements
