World Clean Up Day

Join Clean Up Barrie and Rescue Lake Simcoe Coalition for World Clean Up Day.
Whether you can come for 10 mins or the full 2 hours, we will be happy to have you join us.
We will be working together to clean up Sunnidale Park.
Meeting spot: Dorian Parker Centre @ 10am. Supplies will be provided.
Funding has been provided by Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority.

Protect the Lake Paddle

Learn about protecting Kempenfelt Bay with a guided tour from Rescue Lake Simcoe Coalition.
Enjoy a leisure paddle & summer sunset from a dragon boat, while meeting a variety of local environmentally friendly communities.

When: Thursday, September 14th – 6:30-8pm + after social at restaurant

Where: Barrie Heritage Park

Tickets: $20. Reserve your spot and pay by e-transfer by emailing barrie@corporaterecess.ca. A portion of the funds will be donated to Rescue Lake Simcoe!

Corporate Recess provides all life jackets and paddles. Please sign the online waiver prior to the event. This event is for ages 14+

Lake Simcoe Defender’s Program in Barrie

Our educational program has been accepted by the Simcoe County District Schoolboard, and we have three days of educational programming planned at the Barrie Public Library for kids from grade 4 to 6!

The Rescue Lake Simcoe Coalition invites 9-12-year-olds with their caregiver to participate in a 3-day outdoor exploration of Lake Simcoe and its watershed. This program will be taking place at the Kiwannis Club Pavillion

Activities will include:

•             investigating plants and animals along the shoreline and in the river

•             dip netting in the creek

•             creating watershed and wetland models

•             art activities
