Capitalizing on Green Infrastructure

November 28, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Based on feedback from municipal leaders across Simcoe County like you, we are continuing to offer free seminars within our “Building Sustainable Communities” series.

To that end, we are pleased to host a free seminar for councillors and key staff from across Simcoe County. The focus of this seminar will be on green infrastructure and what it means to municipalities.

Green Infrastructure Ontario Coalition will be sharing best practices, key concepts as well as providing lots of opportunity for attendees to share ideas and challenges with colleagues. Rescue Lake Simcoe Coalition will also be outlining the rich, existing green infrastructure systems we have across Simcoe and where there are opportunities for municipalities to enhance these systems.

Our goal is to provide you with the tools and information to help inform policies geared towards climate adaptation/mitigation, natural heritage systems and sustainable planning.

Space is limited to 30 people, so RSVPs are required. You can RSVP by responding to this email or contacting Margaret Prophet directly at 705-718-1383 between 9 am and 4 pm.

*Light refreshments will be supplied
